The film is also notable for the appearance of Scotland's David Tennant, who reaches out to the American public with a role far from its image as Doctor Who nobles.
The setting is a quiet new in the Nevada desert, a satellite of Las Vegas.Like many of its residents work in Sin City, and are night owls who sleep during the day, it's a perfect place for a vampire. No one in this sleepy town seems to be embarrassed by his frequent disappearances, except for children. And when young Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin) realizes his new neighbor - beautiful but strangely dark-shifty Jerry (Colin Farrell) - may be responsible, he takes it upon himself to handle the problem. He has a lot to do for him. Centuries-old Jerry has a lot of practice covering his tracks. And it does not help that Mom only Charley (Toni Collette) has taken a shine to the sexy stranger with an unusual interest in woodworking.
